Randy Howard, M.D. Joins Portland Medical Center Staff
PORTLAND, TN (October 12, 2006) - Randy Howard, M.D. will join the medical staff at Portland Medical Center effective October 18, 2006. Dr. Howard, a gastroenterologist, comes to Portland Medical Center from the Case Western Reserve/Metro Medical Center. While at Case Western he participated in several research projects one being determining the incidence of fatty liver in the general population. He received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky and completed his residency at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Howard performs all gastroenterology procedures with the exception of ERCP’s. Dr. Howard also treats patients for Hepatitis B and C and is experiencing a high success rate with his Hepatitis C patients.
Dr. Howard has two office locations, the newest location is in the Portland Medical Center and the main location, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Associates, is in the Medical Office Building “C” on the Hendersonville Medical Center campus, Suite 249. Appointments can be made for both office locations by contacting the main office by phone at 826-0710. Dr. Howard is currently accepting new patients for issues dealing with gastroenterology and hepatology and accepts most insurances. Most patients can be seen within two weeks of the initial referral.
